The River of Hunger: River of Sustenance has now raised just short of $10,000 dollars that has been donated to several nonprofit organizations addressing hunger in our community and nation. People make a donation and take a hand-made porcelain spoon from the river exposing the rice that serves as the river bed. The River has been hosted by libraries, galleries and houses of worship. Sifting for Truth raises money for nonprofit fact-finding organizations. Players make a contribution and then sift though sand for the golden letters spelling truth. Other letters are added to the crossword listing the many different sources of information available to the public. It took cooperative effort among players to win. Wheel of Good Fortune. Players spun to learn upcoming good events in their careers through luck and ceramic fortune cookies. Ceramic fortune cookies used in the Wheel of Good Fortune fundraiser Give Twice, a fundraiser for Heiffer International. When patrons bought a handmade pendant they got to choose which animal would be donated through Heiffer International. The event sent money to buy 3 goats, 2 pigs and 2 beehives to help people in other countries made a sustainable living.
